Connections has reached its first fund raising goal and will launch its Medicaid Services Coordination unit thanks to more than $36,000 in grants and contributions received.
Donors Enable Connections of Central of Central New York to Launch
On June 1, 2007 Connections of Central New York will launch its Medicaid Services Coordination unit thanks to more than $36,000 in grants and contributions received from The Gifford Foundation, the Central New York Community Foundation, the Alsid Family and many other donors.
On that same date, Connections of Central New York will embark upon a campaign to raise an additional $100,000 over the coming year. These funds will underwrite the launch of the balance of the organization’s service units, now under the financial umbrella of Onondaga Community Living, in three stages;
- With $35,000 raised by October, 2007, Connections would launch one of its residential service units
- An additional $35,000 in hand by December, 2007, would launch Connections’ second residential service unit
- $30,000 raised by April, 2008 would support the organization’s new administrative support functions
Upon the successful completion of this campaign, the organization will be largely self-supporting through Medicaid reimbursements for its services, and will never have to come to the Central New York community again for this level of support. But we need your support now, to enable Connections to begin to reach the 350 adults with developmental disabilities awaiting personalized services in Central New York.
